ZCOO EXC Front Brake Pads B005EX-C
ZCOO EXC series brake pads are developed and produced in Japan, using carefully selected materials and precision manufacturing processes.
They are ceramic sintered brake pads which help maximise disc longevity but without any loss in overall braking performance.
ZCOO spent a considerable amount of development time and effort, particularly in endurance racing, in the design of the brake pad backing plate to eliminate the risk of bending. A bent backing plate is only bad news as it negatively impacts all elements of braking and disc longevity.
EXC pads are intended to be used on track/race bikes and have been developed from race winning performances at endurance events such as Le Mans, Suzuka and the Bol d’Or and are designed to give maximum durability, performance, consistency and fade-free performance, regardless of the braking demands.
We have back-to-back tested these pads against equivalents from Brembo and SBS and we can say that the ZCOO pads are comparable in terms of outright braking performance and consistency, but at a far more affordable price point. What’s not to like?!
They are sold as a pair to suit one caliper – if your bike uses a twin disc/caliper setup, you’ll need to order two pairs.

About ZCOO by DID
ZCOO are part of the Daido Kogyo Co. group of companies, which includes D.I.D Chains. Manufactured in Japan, they use carefully selected materials and precision production methods to provide maximum stopping performance.
In their early stages, ZCOO's research and development concentrated on the backing plate design. Quite often, backing plates bend due to the amount of heat, stress and the temperature variance they have to deal with, which can lead to worn brake discs or the friction material becoming detached from the backing plate. A bent backing plate obviously doesn't equal maximum braking performance. Once they got this right, they moved on to their friction material, which has been developed over years of testing on track, particularly at the world renowned Suzuka 8 hour endurance race.
Not only do their pads provide optimum braking performance and consistency, they're also reasonably priced.
